Neuro Affirming Therapy Service

As a counsellor trained in Person-Centred Therapy, my work is rooted in deep respect for who you are. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and that healing begins in a space where you feel truly heard, understood, and accepted.

Being neuro-affirming means recognising neurological differences including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, Tourette’s and other forms of neurodivergence as natural and valuable parts of human diversity. They are not flaws to be corrected or behaviours to be fixed.

Inspired by the work of Carl Rogers, I offer empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. In practice, this means:

You are welcome exactly as you are

You don’t need to mask or pretend in our sessions

Your way of communicating and processing is respected

We move at a pace that feels safe for you

Your strengths are seen and valued

Many neurodivergent people have spent years feeling misunderstood, judged, or pressured to fit into spaces that weren’t designed with them in mind. Therapy should feel different. It should feel like a place where you can exhale.

My intention is to create a calm, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences, build self-understanding and grow in ways that feel authentic and empowering to you.
